Music is always there!

Every day is a good day to sing and play!

Lea & Pop is a 3D animated preschool musical comedy about Lea, her little brother Pop and their band of magical musical toys. Songs, learning videos and stories about friendship, music and creativity.

The show

A big sister, a little brother and a band of magical toys

  • Audience: Preschool
  • Genre: Musical comedy
  • Technique: 3D CGI

Lea loves music more than anything. Pop is only 2, but he has a huge imagination and never minds playing the wrong note.

Together with their musical toys, Crocopiano, Phanty, Patty, Bongo, Ringo & Moon and Chillo, the siblings turn games, chores, school and shopping into fantastical adventures. If they dress up as pirates, they become pirates. If Pop finds an earthworm, it turns into a python.

The toys are alive, but only Lea and Pop know it. When grown-ups are around, they look like ordinary toys. When the children are sad, scared or stuck, music changes with their mood, and very often a song is the solution.

Characters

Meet Lea, Pop and the band

Two siblings and their original musical toys. They are alive, they talk (well, most of them) and they are always ready to join the next adventure.

Lea, a red-haired girl with a treble-clef hair clip, playing her purple guitar

Lea

Big sister · 7 years old

Loves music, dancing, singing and playing pretend. She practises hard to become the best guitar player in the world, and tries to keep Pop from going too wild.

Pop, a toddler in a red hoodie with bunny ears

Pop

Little brother · 2 years old

Full of imagination and always up for a new game. He reminds Lea that mistakes are fun when you are being creative, though he can get a little too excited.

Crocopiano, the crocodile piano

Crocopiano

Crocodile piano

Pop's favourite. He can't talk, but his sounds and lights make magical things happen, if only the children can work out what he is trying to say.

Phanty, the elephant sampler

Phanty

Sampler elephant

Records and plays back any sound she hears and talks with her samples. Wise and great at remembering, although she often speaks in riddles.

Patty, the duck-saxophone

Patty

Duck-saxophone

Knows lots about music and worries a little too much about safety. When things go wrong, she cheers everyone up and helps fix the problem.

Bongo, the hippo bongo drum

Bongo

Hippo drum

Big, strong and a real softy. She is shy and needs some encouragement to join in, but once she gets going, the fun is as big as she is.

Ringo and Moon, two drumming frogs on a lily pad

Ringo & Moon

Drumming frogs

Best pals stuck on the same lily pad. Ringo is loud, Moon is quiet, and when it comes to drums they are always on the same beat.

Creativity

Painting, dressing up, building and inventing songs.

Emotions

When Lea is worried or Pop is scared, music helps them through.

Siblings & friendship

Looking after each other and solving problems as a team.

Early learning

Colours, shapes, numbers, letters and animals through song.
